Collaborative Approach
The knowledge and skills necessary to work in collaboration with early childhood interventionists and school-based educators to successfully design and implement technically sound and contextually appropriate positive behaviour support (PBS plans) that improve child and youth behaviour, academic skills, life skills, and quality of life in the family, early childhood education and public school setting.

Positive Behaviour Support
The knowledge and skills necessary provide leadership in the implementation of Schoolwide Postive Behaviour Support at the universal level of prevention in middle and high schools and special educations schools that leads to classroom and school-wide improvements in student behaviour and academic achievement.

Self-Advocacy
The knowledge and skills necessary to teach self-determination and self-advocacy skills such that students with developmental disabilities or behaviour disorders are able to self-advocate for their interests and goals, and actively participate in determining important aspects of their life at home, at work, and in the community.
